Meet Innes, our Founder
My name is Innes Morgan, and I’m the Founder of Act with Purpose.
I grew up on mainland Britain’s most northerly point, in a rural community closer to the International Space Station than to Edinburgh or London. Despite its postcard-perfect views, the dynamics of my community are threatened by a plethora of social issues including depopulation and poor infrastructure.
As a school-aged kid, I felt my community was voiceless against these challenges. I started asking why. Why did organisations with the power to make a difference so often fail to show up for the people who needed them most? How could they use their resources more effectively to create real change?
That curiosity sparked a journey — one that has taken me from advising ministers and business leaders, to working directly on the ground in community development. And through it all, one thing has become clear: meaningful change happens when purpose drives action. When people, organisations, and places align with shared intent and ambition, they have the power to make a real, lasting impact.
But I also learned that leadership is the key to unlocking that potential. I saw the extraordinary difference that purposeful leadership can make, especially when business leaders use their platforms and influence for good. That’s why I started Act with Purpose. It’s not just about talking change; it’s about creating it.
Act with Purpose was born out of a desire to reshape the way organisations think about their impact. It’s about empowering leaders to step up, use their resources more effectively, and create lasting impact, not just for their organisations but for the communities they serve.
This isn’t just about building better businesses — it’s about better leadership, with real human impact. It’s about organisations showing up with intention and integrity to create positive change. And that’s what Act with Purpose is all about: bringing people together, harnessing collective strength, and leading with purpose to build a better future for all.
